Dear Supporters,
It’s only 5 weeks now until my mum and I return to Kophu school to see the finished classrooms. On this trek we will deliver the ‘Room to Read’ library books to expand the existing very basic library; and the 10 whiteboards that are currently being made in Kathmandu. Hopefully the 7 skylights will be fitted in the other 7 older classrooms by the time we arrive at the village as well.
The reconciliation of all sponsorship money has been calculated by the NAFA executive and the excess funds (over the required $8,000 for the Kophu classrooms ...
total raised was over $11,000) will cover ALL applications made by the other schools that we visited on our trek in the lower Solu Khumbu region in February.
Other projects that will be covered are –Patale school : skylights
Lumsa school : skylights, whiteboards, desks & benches
Lapsephedi school : “Room to Read” books (this school is not in the Solu Khumbu region but is also in need of library books)
Kophu school : sporting equipment
Other applications which will be voted on at the March NAFA meeting and that are able to be covered by the excess funds -
Patale school : toilet block (the school has NO toilet facilities and the teachers and students toilet in the forest around the school)
Lumsa school : fit out of library - shelving, benches and tables
After visiting these schools in February and the incredible welcomes we received from the students, teachers and villagers, I know that these items above will be greatly appreciated.

I sincerely want to thank everyone again who has supported me on this fundraising venture for Kophu…. financially and personally and also for everyone who promoted it. I feel so privileged and fortunate to be able to help the children of the schools in this region of Nepal and it was only possible with the support from everyone involved.
There are so many other projects that NAFA supports and fundraises for so please take time to log onto

Kind regards,
Kylie
